OrdHandel was created as a tool to assist newcomers to Denmark in learning a vocabulary useful as a tool to communicate needs in supermarkets. It is available for free as a brower game on itch.io (play here).
The product is a collection of language learning minigames, split into 3 categories. Fruits and Greens, Meat, and Dairy. Each category has its own minigame and set of words that it attempts to teach.
Fruits and Greens is a memory match game, Meat is a connect game where a line is drawn between words and images, and Dairy is a sorting game, dragging images onto the correct words.
The product also includes a daily task system, giving the users 6 words they are enticed to try to learn. These words are crossed out as the user correctly identifies them in the app that day.
For this project I was mainly assistance to other group members due to previous experience with Unity, GitHub, and the C# language. I helped tackle tasks that other group members found insurmountable, and solved merge conflicts when they appeared.
Secondly I also did art for one minigame, and minor art for other parts of the product.
